Tea Tree Oil - What is it and Where does it come from?

Tea Tree Oil comes from the leaves of a tree in northeast of Australia.

In traditional medicine, the Bundjalung (Aborigines) people of Australia used the oils of the crushed leaves as medicine to relieve colds and coughs by inhaling the vapors of the oils. Tea Tree oil leaves were also specially prepared by the Bunjalung people by using soaking methods which helped them create a substance that helped treat their soar throats and skin ailments.
